Clair Poem by Jessica Thompson

Clair

Falling, falling into this puddle.
Of my own tears.
I'm crying and trying to see your face.
It's faded.
Black and white.
Grinning.
I loved you.
You hurt me and ripped out my heart.
I gave up everything for you.
All you did was take it all away.
I can't believe I actually fell for it.
Everyone warned me.
About you.
Did you plan to do this all along?
Did you love me?
All those moments.
All those kisses.
Were fake?
All these years I have adored you.
Were useless.
You probably found somebody else now.
I wonder if they know.
What you do.
