Clochette (A Sonnet) Poem by Barry Blander

Clochette (A Sonnet)

Rating: 5.0

Moonlight glows from eyes of emerald green
And bathes me in layers of mystery
Surely the Nine have touched you, Art to teem;
Venus draws you, deepens your history
Like Helen, you rule hearts, a regal Queen
Of you I dream, as of one sisterly
Who will with a kind glance and lustrous sheen
Dance with many graces, so mystically
Like the nightingale, songs heard but unseen
In your presence, dispelled my misery
A soft word, like the caress of moonbeam.
No Merlin needed here with wizardry
I wonder if I dare give you this poem
Or keep with me as I wend my way home.
