It was just a little shower
We were sure it’d go away
The forecast did say rain
It would only last a day
But you know, it didn’t stop
It rained all that night
And in the next morning
It was a soppy watery sight
The rivers kept on risin’
Overflowed their banks
In just a few short hours
Nature seem to play a prank
Of course boots had to be worn
For kids to go outside and play
And once they were out there
They didn’t want to stay
Deep ruts in the roads
Were filled with the wet stuff
But it just kept on a’rain’
Couldn’t seem to get enough
But we didn’t worry much
For it just could not remain
And that was the time we had
Buckets of Cloud Chief rain!
