Cloudless Skies Poem by Frank McEleny

Cloudless Skies

Can rain fall
from cloudless skies?
Can tears fall
From hardened eyes?

I cry to the Lord
in my time of need
to send the rain
to water the seed

And my God
who is never far away
sends the rain
on a cloudless day

And the water that falls
from endless blue skies
fills up my heart
and brings tears to my eyes

The Lord Himself
has sent rain from above
and His banner over me
is surely love

And out of my heart
the river flows
sealed not by one
but by two rainbows
