Cocky People Poem by Francis Duggan

Cocky People

Cocky people as such i could never admire
And of being in their company i quickly does tire
So cocky and arrogant and self assured in their way
I would rather not meet them in truth i can say
And sad for to say their sort are not even rare
Of their self importance they make you aware
Narcissistic in their ways and full of self conceit
Their sort i do never feel happy to meet
To meet cocky people you need not walk far
There are plenty of them in the local public bar
Telling each other of how marvellous they are
And of the size of their new home and their brand new car
For attention with each other they always compete
Cocky people i would rather not meet.
