Coffins Poem by Dominique Lamboy

Coffins

Fake identity,
Masking cruel intentions
Of real freedom ringing.
Bells of liberty,
Singing the time is now to show yourself to the crowd,
The time is now to say it out loud.

Sign your name on the dotted line,
Next to the ones who prophesied your coming.
Your birth into the world,
And laid at your feet are fans
Of planets undiscovered

Planes of lunar flight
Imprinted by lyrics of possibility and opportunity-
Cause stars are only as far
As you're willing to reach,
Lightly please.

Weighing heavily,
The graves of dead precedence and opposition,
Grown from seeds of monarchy,
thriving in Rays
Of their ancestors sun,

Be brave in the face of the unknown,
Shine bright in the coffins of uncertainty,
Dream against all odds,
share what you find,
And When the skies eyes open -
Don't forget to ask
who goes there.
