lying in a bed; complete
and total silence
nothing compares to hearing
your own thoughts
thoughts that run together with
a patter never before known
a patter that exemplifys the screams
of the heart
the whimpering of the brain; no way
to confuse the two
the whimpering and screams
remain low; almost unheard
for the brain and heart know
that all is insatiable
thoughts come too close together
to realize the contradiction of one another
whimpering and screams too far apart
to soothe to a point of placidity
lying in a bed; obstructed
and stymied
