Cold Cloudy Day Poem by Nate Jones

Cold Cloudy Day

it doesn't matter what you say or do
in the end i always get hurt
this time i did it
another cold cloudy day to go
this time i did it
to make you feel guilty
and i never felt more lonely
the amputation begins
the emotion takes form
i ty these red ribbons around my wrist
cringe my teeth to the anguish within
i wish i could cry
because then i would be fine
