Cold Winters Day Poem by Sakib Choudhury

Cold Winters Day

like the mist on a cold winters day
a beautiful figure descends from the sky
the body frozen in unimaginable awe
an angel sent from the heavens
to bless this paupers eyes

moving towards this enchanted figure
anticipation takes over the body
wishing to caress this beauty
hoping to embrace for an eternity

alas for every attempt made
this wonder floats further away
despair coursing through the veins
water shedding from the eyes

twas then when lightning struck
and the body paralysed
for not even the eyes could close
that this form of serenity seem to cease
alas now twas clear
what needed to be done

I found this piece quite mysterious.
