Collateral Beauty Poem by Roshana Phillips

Collateral Beauty

Take me to that place,
Where we were once young;
And our relationship,
Wasn't based upon any grounds.
That place where my heart ache to see you
And our thoughts were never on curfew.

Back to that place,
Where you was captivating,
As the rhythms and sounds
Of our emotions were all collaborating.

As the birds wonder of no tomorrow,
Our love daily had grew hallow.
Take me back to those days,
Where our love was not pain,
If only we can be strangers again.
