Colleen Courtney An Inspiration

Rating: 5.0

literature poetry
for souls who love
the beauty of words
beauty bound in words
is a magic kingdom
power of escapism
transcendence is gift price
sharing gifted dreams

beauty in seed inspirations
beauty in beautiful writes
achieved deeply humbles
love is to treasure influences
to reference to acknowledge
that without Colleen Courtney

the poem 'Share Eternities
In Time' would not exist;
Colleen you were the spark
of inspiration the catalysis
was founded in the beauty
of your own poem 'Love
Without Sex' I am absolutely
sure your poetry has inspired

thrilled many; your poem
I commented on was uniquely
enjoyable enriched the evening
of my reading; I wrote from
a depth of appreciation courtesy
demanded I thank you personally

take that wonderful 'warm,
fuzzy, happy feeling' hold
it close to beautiful heart,
then share it with others;
because we give of ourselves
to gift happiness and insights
which a few of our readers
need and are in search of

we are makers
we gift wonder
intrigue beautiful
words to sing
in sorrow hearts
of searching souls

Hi Colleen and Sunprincess :) My long delayed reply. The beauty in poetry apart from the possible beauty in the words, imagery, themes, inspiration, rhyme and illuminary places; poems and words may take us to, is in the giving. Poets who write with a passion always give. You gave pleasure, infused me with happiness and inspiration, in a poem you had written, I returned your gift in kind within our medium crafted words; thus another facet of poetic thought is penned in the giving of our souls, while other lovers of poetics and literary images may also sing, celebrate verse songs of our hearts. It was interesting that you wrote 'And if you happen to be the only person I end up inspiring then for me that will be enough.' I share this view. Among the simple poems I had been recently writing when you replied to this poem, I think 'City Flood Waters Rising', 'In The Lap Of Love', 'Enlightenment Off Course', 'Pointless Running From Winter Cold', 'An Absence Of Enlightenment' and the 3 or 4 line poems 'Enlightenment Calms Despair Winds', 'Moving To A Perfect Place', 'Attained Peace Enlightenment' was 'Smile Laugh For A Moment' which expresses a similar viewpoint. Some believe in chance, coincidence, karma, however the syncronicity of shared sentiments has a wonderfully enriched resonance in poetic hearts. Upon we meet again in poetry, godspeed and power to your pen. Warmest Regards, your friend, Terry

Oh Terry! What can I say? Actually I don't think I have words at the moment. I'm speechless....and believe me that doesn't happen very often with me! Lol. I thank you with my whole heart for such a beautifully written poem which I shall treasure always. It makes my soul sing to think that I have been an inspiration to another. And if you happen to be the only person I end up inspiring then for me that will be enough. Appreciate your beautiful heart, your incredible mind and your wonderful and lasting friendship! **you know this will be printed and carried in my wallet to be reread whenever and wherever the urge strikes! : -) : -)
