Colorado And My Grandparents Poem by Jayce McCormick

Colorado And My Grandparents

Rating: 3.5

Colorado, I love you so
But I had to leave you four years ago
I miss your mountains, your vallerys so green
And my friends I made there, and chocolate ice-cream

But most of all I miss the most
My Grandparents and Uncle living there
We used to live a mile away
But now it seems we are worlds apart

Yet in my heart, I know it is true
I am not so far from them
Someday I will go back there
And enjoy the life I loved....

A very touching and well written poem Jayce. It strikes the right chord. Good work.
