Come And Join Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Come And Join

The Lord is calling from His throne
Salvation’s heard our cry
He sees our grief, who moan and groan
And when His children die

Our daily needs are plain to view
We cry but not in vain
For our Father seeks our rescue
And heal our every pain

But Heaven’s ways are not as man’s
His thoughts are selfless love
In righteousness He truly plans
To lead His flock above

To us as mortal man He came
A Shepherd meek and mild
Was crucified to bear our shame
That we be reconciled

But who will Jesus Christ believe?
Who’ll accept God’s Word?
Who through His blood, will life receive?
And practice what they’ve heard

Who’ll seek The Truth and change their ways
Who’ll turn their thoughts above?
Cease senseless wars end petty frays
And walk The Path of Love

The bible’s here for every man
Guiding with love divine
But who will read their Father’s plan
And say The Truth is mine

Who’ll cease The Lord their God to fight?
Accept His Promise made
Who’ll turn from darkness to The Light?
And join life’s cavalcade
