Come With Me On A Mind Adventure Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

Come With Me On A Mind Adventure

Rating: 5.0

Deep in the Amazon

Come with me on a mind adventure

Deep within a thousand shades of green
Deep where the grass towers above
Deep where a thousand eyes shift

Where you can feel the ground breathing
Deep where depth and perception vanish
Deep where you pray to the gods of survival

Luck- -Chance- -or- -Fate

Deep where delay means certain decay
Deep in the ravenous folds of another universe

Deep where
a sip
a sting
a wrong move
Could be your last
Where seeing and not being seen
May buy you a day

Deep where the true tribal man still dwells
Raw and intense, part boar, part Jaguar

He is us and not us, we are him and not him

No...................................................................

Deep in my heart I praise the modern being
Deep in my soul I know that ours is a great story
There in the kind help of a neighbor
There is something most-GrAnD- of all

For every leaf in the Amazon I know there is
A sad human story
A heartbreaking and nightmarish story
One for every leaf

Yet there in our souls is a seed that we can nourish
Deep in our souls are seeds that we can protect
A seed of good that thrives on this goodness

Here and now WE decide to let our seed

I really enjoyed this mind adventure. I love the lay-out of this poem. Humanity has come a long way and there's hope for better times because there's a seed in our souls that we can nourish. Beautiful thoughts.

For every leaf in the amazon / I know there is a sad human story. Your poem reminds us that while we are a part of the life on this earth, we are still humans...and we have a choice to make.....to let our seed bloom. BLOOM! :) I request now that you include sketches with everything that you write! :)

I would like to think that most people are basically good and just need to let that goodness bloom.
