Commitment? Poem by Kylie Greenham

Commitment?

Rating: 4.5

You loved with all your heart,
I loved with all my brain.
You thought forever and always,
I thought if the gods allow.
You showed a worry-less expression,
I showed you all the unpaid bills.
You wanted children,
I wanted stability.
You said Good-Bye.

One does not love with the brain, the abode of love is in the inner recesses of the heart, as the divine function of the heart is to love. Love is a spiritual experience that affects all and sundry profoundly. I like the articulation and insight of the poem. A good one indeed. Thanks for sharing. when opposing perspectives are not quickly and wisely ratified, it breeds misunderstanding and ultimately, lack of commitment. You presented your idea so beautifully. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem 'The Empress Of My Heart'
