Commitment Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Commitment

An if meant to say it.
Has no risk that commits,
With assurance given to anyone.
Since...
A reliable person serious,
Would not say 'if'.
With purpose to have it questioned.
Or have it implied,
An excuse is awaiting to contemplate.
And seldom does one if.
To then say maybe.
Just to have that said.
For the purpose to serve,
Anyone depending upon...
Including another,
Not wishing to participate.
Or become involved.
With whatever it is that requires,
Watching others sit.
While supervising another,
As to how something could be better done.
IF...
More commitment from them,
Was proven to be shown.
With determination made to make known.
