Confused Poem by Brittany Jones

Confused

Alone in my room just tryin be me
i think about the things you helped you me see
from the lies and deciet of men
to the protection and security of women

No i'm not sayin you its your fault
what i'm sayin is you played a major part
you talked about the things that was going on
so i had no choice but to go along

What you did for me was a distaster
what i did for you was spectaular

Brittany, our parents try to protect us in ways we feel is just too square (to quote a saying from my childhood) . But there are those parents who will tell us things so that we depend on them, and when we show the first sign of independence, all of a sudden we are ingrates. What my mother did to me also wasn't just a disaster, it was an adolescent holocuast. Thank you for sharing. Stay strong Brittany, because it is in our strength that we can heal.. With big as the sky hugs, Barbara
