Connection Poem by Robert Longley

Connection

Much is left unanswered
When conversations cease
What happens to the dialogue?
After may he rest in peace

Both of us are listening
Though only I can here
And words that I have spoken
Will never reach your ear

It’s sad from your perspective
But insignificant at best
For me it’s just a moment
Apart from all the rest

But always is connection
For now and ever more
Life is about preparing
For what’s ultimately in store
