Conquered Poem by John Sensele

Conquered

Even the meanest that claim immunity
Shall fall in love with someone
When Cupid's arrows in unity
Bind their hearts into one

And into one wonder they grow
To munch the love madness
Seeping through every row
Of feelings that gladness

Love pours into their once void lives
Now mellowed into strings of bliss
Strumming tender tunes in fives
In the wee wonders of the fragrance fleece

Slaying the loneliness they once knew
Before love lips kissed their limpid lips
Metamorphosing the meanest into new
Angels urging timid Thomases to heed love tips.
