Consolation Poem by Craig Moses Uche

Consolation

Rating: 5.0

Memories comes and rings like bells
Rage hides our tears
And tears comes again in time
Of need and neglect
But faith never leaves us a bet

Sorrows burn like hades
Emotions light up like candles
White lies makes us timid
Perplexity always produces fear
But hope is never rear

Temptations may come around
Failures come but doesn't abound
Anxiety lay waste to dreams
And battles win wars
But love never dies

Laziness makes us slack
With thoughts we always lack
And why live in the dark?
For with lust we are lost
But with self-control we can afford the cost

Why drool over men
When we can drool over women
I can't help but let my mind wander
For fear and tears are like assets we cannot own
But faith and hope are always our own

I liked the poet's stance on 'fear', 'tear', 'faith' and 'hope'. Well penned.....5 stars.
