One year ago, you found her,
a quick remembered smile
among the thousands
passing by
hopeful, hungry, hunting
the same and different things
Looking for Love
lasting, long, loose
a change
the change
the one that clicked
the one you'd sleep beside
inside and in your forest
and you, the Ideal Strategist,
carefully cast your line.
It hit her heart
and whispered,
'Will you share my unknown? '
She turned -
for a moment she turned;
your quiet inside the howling wind.
She stopped. She listened -
though brown earth groaned
and rocked in longing's weight.
and she knew
she felt
and you knew
the same long line
would join you
known and unknown
felt and forward
and all of it as rare as
the four-leaf Trillium
you'd later find
and share with her
in secrets of your forest
