Contagious Love Poem by Gary James Smith

Contagious Love

Rating: 5.0

CONTAGIOUS LOVE

You've raised the bar on aging

With your infectious smile

Mother, your love is contagious

You've gone the extra mile.

In each of your discomforts

There's hardly ever a fuss

Your way of doing business therewith

Is such an appreciative touch.

The fender bender mishaps

Or should I say the floor

Have not broken your spirit

You still bounce back for more.

Your humor is not hidden

But lies in wait for a chance

To utter those funny sayings

That suit each circumstance.

Once again that smile

With twinkle in your eye

Beams forth satisfaction with

Giving a courteous reply.

Your beauty is astounding

For it's both without, within

Your spirit is victorious

For you trust alone in Him.

In Him I say Who raised the dead

In Him who gives old age

And then in glory 'Eternal life'

May Jesus Christ be praised.

All glory to that Father, Son

The Spirit who live above

Who bless our hearts with demonstrations

Of His Contagious Love!
