Contentment Poem by Rajalaxmi Vasudevan

Contentment

That was a moment
of pure contentment,
when you held me tight
and rest everything seemed light.

I could see nothing but your eyes
I could hear nothing but your sighs
I could feel nothing but your touch
and it was such
that I felt you were all
and the world seemed so small.

And when our lips met
it was all wet,
I was soaked in your sweat
but that didn't make me regret
for I was totally satisfied
to be with a person so dignified.
