Continuous Poetry Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Continuous Poetry

Dare we ever contemplate
The thought that we may hesitate
To continue to write poems now,
Or day by day, or hour by hour?

Why must the words flow line by line?
Is now not the very time
When I should stop, take time, delay,
And wait to write another day?

It does not matter what I wish,
Forces outside the control of me,
Take over my Mind and pen,
And make me write a poem again.

Satisfied with what I have penned,
To put them on the websites again,
It is the only break I get,
Until more words in my Mind set.

Today the Muse is flowing fast,
Dare I wish it not to last?
No ~ that is not fair to you,
For writing poetry is what I do.
