Control

You suspect
that your neighbour
likes to compose,
and has a stethoscope
to the wall.

You softly call
to your babe,
'Hush your throes.'

You go next door
and get recompense
and edit out.

Back home, what you say
is 'Lay it on thick;
and put in a quote
from Moby Dick.'
