Control Freak Poem by Scotty Ceurvels

Control Freak

Rating: 4.5

She yells and screams
With anger in her heart
She keeps it mean
While tearing you apart

Hurtful words with negative tones
Exploding emotions turned inside out
With Sticks and stones
And echoing shouts

She will keep you down
Right where she needs
Sadness and frowns
And controlling deeds

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Some time ago I experienced the anger of a love who told me 'your depression is killing me' and 'I can't take your emotional shut downs anymore'. Feeling like I was the 'problem' in our relationship, I left her and became homeless and an alcoholic. Years later I sobered up and got the help I needed and it is to her I dedicate this simple but strong reminder of who she is. Thanks Jo! ! !

An insightfully piece of poetry, well articulated, nicely encapsulated and subtly penned with conviction. Indeed, a control freak destabilizes ones emotional, spiritual, social... wellbeing. An ugly person to be with. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. ➕9
