Conversion Begins Poem by Gary James Smith

Conversion Begins

Conversion Begins

Conversion begins with an inside job
That results in an outward change
And a reverential fear of the living God
With an exaltation of Lord Jesus name
And a Hallelujah from a grateful heart
That's been saved by the blood of the Lamb
Walking in new life enjoying the Resurrection
In fellowship with the great I Am

The Holy Spirit now as our Comforter
That leads us to know the truth
Helping us to make application of the Word
And our transitioning to the Light more smooth
Assuring grace in the toughest of times
Especially in the grief of death
Our sure Helper with our life at present
And continuing until our earth's final breath

New creatures now are we who have believed
And the old things have passed away
The world has lost its drawing power
For we have seen the light of day
Upon recognition of the sinner's that we are
And redemption's availability
The Cross of Jesus Christ my sure hope of Heaven
And my conversion a reality!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
