Cosmic Dancer Poem by Nabil Bhatiya

Cosmic Dancer

Be one with the light
of the One
who walks naked among the ghosts
He who drives destruction
dancing through the cosmos
When He opens His Eye
with frightful anger
The beasts cry in pain
and the wise wonder
If their actions were just
and the thoughts any pure
Trembling from the havoc
of pure karmic allure
Slyly hisses the serpent king
coiled around His blue throat
Guarded by Nandi
In His heavenly abode
God of the Gods
Lord of Kailasa
The Destroyer Shankara
Shiva Shambhu Maheshwara
Har Har Mahadeva
Bholenatha Rudra
Pure untamed energy's ruler
Who carries a trishula
Illusions' and desires' controller
Whose mind lies far beyond
Awakening those asleep by the sound
Of the beating of His drum
And a grey smoke rising
From His intoxicating chillum
Ashes picked from burning pyers
Head adorned with crescent moon
He can grant all your desires
Or save you from impending doom
Peaceful seduction prevails
Upon the infinite He meditates
Like an immovable rock
Through the jungle of His dreadlocks
Flows the holy water
That redeems all sins
And offers a chance
to escape His fury
and to dive into the glory
of His celestial trance
