“Country estates in Russia”
The longer the eyes linger on the dappled light
on the book cover picture,
the more I perceive of this garden:
the two ladies chatting gently
birds chittering contentedly
in the still air; even in the house
the servants rest,
cleaning done in the morning, tea served, dinner a while off,
flowers and trees scenting the universe.
“One can visit the whole world from one’s armchair”, said Lao Tse.
It is true! I am in a Russian country garden right now.
“The memory of all that has happened everywhere in the world at any time can be found everywhere at any time” said the Physics Professor.
That is how it works! That is why I can travel anytime anywhere without moving! That is how I know all about Africa, its sounds, smells, views, textures and tastes that arose one day, unbidden, when sitting very still.
When all is very still, something can activate a memory seed-sound stored …
Stored where?
