I lived on an island
It was my home
In the Bahamas
It was good for my soul
To go to the beach
The quiet in the air
The rolling waves of the sea
God brought me there
But now I'm back home
In those old country roads
Where I grew up not far from
there..
But the island I do miss it there
I miss the stillness I found there
I miss the memories we left there
But if I had to choose between
The island or these old country roads
I'd probably choose the latter
Bc it's also good for my soul
To be near my family
And people I care for
Even though I truly found God
When I was back there..
I think I got what I needed
there
and now I'm back where
I've longed to be
Back where God first made me..
In the old country roads of the
Humble place of
