she knows only how to love
as madness loves the subtly sane
lose yourself
and your shadow in the dark
she will discern you
from your shadow

know that this is love
you thought you were nobody
and in her hands you embodied
the thousands of dreams you abandoned
and the hundreds of beings you wished to become

know that this is love
you have left your heart
in the hands of a gypsy
she knows only how to dance
and make dance
revel like a drunkard
to the trace of her footsteps
and submit to the madness
at each syllable of her name
