Covid 19 - The Phenomena, The Novel. Poem by Jacson Gelato

Covid 19 - The Phenomena, The Novel.

The end of life will come
like a wave hitting upon the shore,
it will take those who are standing there
and carry them away into the ocean;
it will release those who are resistant
it will victimize those who are vulnerable
and toss them underneath the ground
into eternity to disperse
as the soul will travel afar
without any reluctance
but those who stand back and watch
they will have tears in their eyes,
they will mourn and weep
they will be relieved they will still be here
as the virus will be so pitiless, so merciless;
and they will all be grateful to God
that they are still standing here
on the shore of life
still breathing, walking on this earth
while those whom they loved and knew
had to depart leaving behind
all those whom they loved and cared;
and knowing that fate
always has a story to tell,
this novel which the virus had to write
originated from no imagination or foresight;
it came like a huge wave upon the shore of time
and wrote its lines which no one could summarize
and just like a hurricane it devastated
so many homes and lives,
it shook the entire peace of the world
like never before, never so fearsome
never predictable, never anticipated
as doctors and patients keep struggling
as life and death keeps fighting
as someone closes eyes forever
a distressful phenomena keeps repeating.
