Creation’s Groaning Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Creation’s Groaning

Creation’s groaning and panting
In anguish, pain and strife
Until grace has finished planting
Love’s seed that leads to life

But while few are earnest sowing
Warning of every sin
While man’s mind’s still toing and froing
No reaper can come in

Rape and murder’s everywhere
Criminals are common place
Now no one seems to gives a care
About this sad disgrace

Anger and hatred escalates
Showing no great concern
Opening wider, perdition’s gates
More devils’ fools to burn

Take dusty bibles from the shelf
Even if old and grey
Don’t be fool, employ yourself
Read all what God will say

Reject devils and Satan’s way
Examine deep inside
Converse with Jesus Christ today
Tell all you sought to hide

God knows already, everything
Each deed, word and thought
But wants to give, life’s song to sing
Hearing your true report

Resisting lust, immediately
Seek out Christ Jesus’ face
Watch sin and devils from you flee
Without a meagre trace…..
