Creature Poem by Tess Green

Creature

Within the depths of my soul
Lies an unwelcomed girl
A girl who is not meant
to be.

She waits, silently, violently,
for the very moments
where it seems that I might
fall apart.

Crawling from deep within
Tearing at me
Leaving a gaping hole
That swallows me in one.......

This girl, this creature
That stand in my place
Twists my words together
into something their not.

Heartless, cold;
Deceitful, dishonest.
Numb to the world
And to all who surround.
