Derrick Hubert Schnabel
Credo - Poem by Derrick Hubert Schnabel
from spiritual and moral captivity freed,
lifted beyond fear, ignorance, isolation;
a fresh vision of reality is our creed,
born out of a universe in constant motion;
we accelerate, expand possibilities –
no sterility of mind and heart – apathy;
no moral inertia from dead theologies –
instead, with an evolving world, our empathy.
we broaden our horizons in this changing realm,
primordial power, bound by humanity;
we, chastened and humbled, new ideas at the helm,
extension of vision, our new paternity.
what is most exulted in us becomes our quest,
freedom of our spirit in nature is our rest.
