Stars glisten
inward I listen
to that voice
'I have a choice'
Choose a path
Think of all I have
Don't lose sight
or forget what's right
Don't be immersed
Or forget who comes first
It's okay to give
Just don't relive
your past mistakes
All your heartaches
You gave too much
and lost touch
Of who you were
An entrepreneur
Independent, strong
You can get along
You're a fighter, brave
Think of the life you made
And never settle
For a mere petal
Reach for the rose
A love that grows
Nutures, respects
And doesn't expect
You to sacrifice it all
because in the long haul...
It takes two
not one.
