Creed Thoughts Poem by David Dos Santos

Creed Thoughts

Rating: 5.0

Along this gravel, the sun shines down
I tilt my head and breath the air
The fresh blue cover and white duvet's
Take me in, absorb the rain.

I look down and see a face
A new colour in this deserted place
I lock my hands and walk on by
Cautiously watching this coloured guy.

I see this man, loving life
Notice me and grab his knife
I understand, I've seen the news
Not all of us, cause the blues.

I walk on by and shake my head
He's scared of me, no need to be
I feel his eyes, he's ready to run
But a second later, the moment's gone.

That was close, I felt him breath
He'd take my life, so I've seen
Now I'm safe, I tilt my head
Breath the air and dream of peace.
