Jessica Taylor Golden

Cremated Poem by Jessica Taylor Golden

A shudder
and a thought
a glance
and then a flash
and you're laughing
head rolled back
eyes filled with tears
stomach burning
chest heaving
'i cant - stop - laughing! -
it hurts! '
and ashes
ashes, ashes, ashes

I am alone now
it's quiet
the room is silent
but I am loud
chest heaving
stomach burning
eyes filled with tears
head rolled back
and you are ashes
and happy memories
remind me
of ashes, ashes,
till I
fall down.
