Critique Poem by Jean Renwick

Critique

Life is good
Love is grand
Death goes forth to deal its hand.

All this stress
All our pain
Comes it ‘round and round again.

Sun burns hot
Moon glows cool
Rainbow looking for another fool.

Roll the dice
Rule a kingdom
Cleverly displace ideas of freedom.

Society’s script
Play your role
Fit the square peg in a round hole.

Tame the lion
Cage the bird
Believe not everything that is heard.

Join the industrious
Rest with the faithful
Create the chances to be fruitful.
