Crouching Beast, The Hidden Demon Poem by Kinyua Karanja

Crouching Beast, The Hidden Demon

I know, I may not be absolutely right
But, I'm sure majority will admit on sight
That we are squarely on the wrong track,
And as a matter of facts, frankly so to speak
Heading on in the wrong direction altogether.
The atmosphere of radicalism and extremism,
Now than ever before, is being taken farther
Beyond political correctness to eco-terrorism.

There is propagation of more radical cultures,
False doctrines and fallacious dogma in natures,
Which are venoms in arteries of human dignity,
Threatening harmonious coexistence and unity
Of our diverse religious and cultural societies,
Forgetting our diversity is our ultimate strength.
The time is now to mobilize people in our cities,
To preach peace and declare love in full length.

Terrorism has no region, religion nor race,
It's a crouching beast with no definite face
A demon of heinous ideologies and belief,
With chief goals to cause fear and grief.
Racial supremacy, profiling and imperialism
'Holy wars' military fascism and invasions
Must be condemned as acts of terrorism,
Preach tolerance among people and nations.
