Crowding Ahead Poem by Gryffyn Rescorla

Crowding Ahead

Crowding ahead,
Can be seen a black space,
Densely arrayed,
Bathing all within its grasp
In its blank hue.
When I step out of the streetlight,
I shall fall into the dark,
Unperceived,
Struck with freedom from painful scrutiny.
Blind, lightness charges me,
I glide into the deep dark.
The dark cannot hide a heavy head;
Tripping on a stray rock,
With a sharp clash resounding in my ears,
I kick upon the solemn ground.
A lonely light stands ahead,
Exposing a patch of concrete,
On which will soon walk a sleepy figure.
