Cruel, Kind, Clever? Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Cruel, Kind, Clever?

Cruel, kind, clever?

He has farm
In it has animals
Also has a brood of chickens
Clutching, chattering in barns, pens.

Cruel, kind, clever?
To warn them of the time
He asked for, the Thane’s help:
“You compose notes and sounds…”
“Yes of course! ”
“Can you make sound of hawk, a Red Tail’s? ”
“I try, maybe, yes! ”

Chickens head for the pens
Red Tail Hawk uses the speakers.
