Cruel Life, You Wont Win! Poem by Tessa Gray

Cruel Life, You Wont Win!

Rating: 3.8

Oh life, cruel, never ending, unkind
Am I that unclean, so to be cast out
Left in the stinking pit of outcasts
I am human too, although different
My brain may not work the same
But yes, I am a human being
I may choose to walk the narrow path
But yet I am a stranger in a world of friends
Tossed to dirt like I am nothing
But I am something
I will not be left to rot in your hole
I will become like the oak tree
Strong, unbendable I will be
And you wont stop me.

I like the conviction of the poem. All one needs to get ahead in such a deplorable situation as depicted in the piece is the power of positive thinking. Faith keeps those that keep the faith. A well articulated piece of poetry insightfully penned with conviction. An inspirational poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
