Crushed Dreams Of A Beggar Poem by Talha Ebrahim

Crushed Dreams Of A Beggar

Rating: 3.0

face palmed by a driver
the beggar stumbled away
dragging himself
away from the car
..
a dull thud and a sickly grisly sound
bones being smashed
organs getting quashed
blood oozed on the street
..
the beggar laid dying
surrounded by carrion eaters
the pedesterian onlookers
waiting for the death to come
..
this world is a bad place
a sham and disgrace
to people who can't earn their bread
their dreams of desires
trampled and bruised
lives after their life
..

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The inspiration for these verses came from realising the plights of the alm seekers. They dream high but lacks action to fulfill those dreams..
It is dedicated to the beggars of the world, in hope of that they would bring a change in themselves and live with respect.
