Cry Poem by Becca Bell

Cry

Tears streaming down my face
As I hang up the phone
Hiding sadness is what I do best
I say a mere goodbye with a very heavy heart
Because everyday with you,
I face potential heartbreak
So I hold back all my tears and try to smile
I put on a happy face
So you won't see my sadness
You see me struggle and say it's okay to cry
But you don't know that a part of me has died
You turn your back; end with parting words
As a single tear streams down my face
You say 'I love you.'
And I cry harder still
Because I know deep down
You'll never really be mine to love
