Crying Out For You Poem by Tracey Owens

Crying Out For You

Rating: 5.0

You see me on the floor, tears rolling down my face.
You look at me for a split second and then turn away.
I beg for you not to leave but you show no interest to stay.
You walk out the door without a word or a last look.
I hear the silence around me as time passes slowly.
I hold that memory of your face that split second that you looked at me.
I begin to cry heavily now and I can't stop.
I curl up on the floor and long for you to come back to me.
The door never opens and your face never appears.
I only hear the silence of the room around me and the clock ticking as time drags slowly by.
Theres only me crying on the floor and nothing else.
No one in the room but me, crying myself to sleep.
You showed no compassion nor sympathy for me.
Once you left, I was alone in this big room.
I cried out for you, but there was no answer.
