Cupid's Wingless Blues Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Cupid's Wingless Blues

Gone, gone,
The love is gone,
He sat there with heartfelt eyes,
Staring at the ceiling,
Reminissing of her dress,
The taste of her skin,
The tip of his arrow struck her heart,
But to no aveil, she fell for another,
His shoestrings hung loose, unable to stay tied,
The many block's his feet walked,
In thought,
The love is gone,
The way she adored, the lust that filled her eye, mistaken for love,
The love is gone,
The love is gone,
The look in his eye fell through the roof, with no use for his wings they just sat,
A drunken fool, lost in the stare that use to love endlessly,
Cupid stared endlessly at the hands that gripped Venus,
The planets fell out of orbit,
His world was lost,
The love is gone,
Gone away,
His gate to heaven closed, chained, locked away,
The way her hips switched,
The shimmer of her hair, every folical he loved dearly,
Gone away,
He loved with reckless reguard,
An addict to the honey of her scent,
The love is gone,
She's found another,
Soon another somebody will sing the same song
