Cursed Poem by Alyssa Diane

Cursed

I’ve been cursed with a fifteen-year-old spell,
The spell that can send any child spiraling straight to hell,
The chills that fill your body with tears and anger too,
They seem to grow familiar to me just as I knew.
I’ve been cursed by a family,
Who loves me dearly,
But it seems everyday I fail them,
I’m just going to sit here and listen to their bible hymn.
I’ve been cursed by a lover,
Who seems so dear, but tends to hover,
Sometimes I want him near,
Other days I feel a little wear,
I’ve been cursed by the creek,
The cobblestone drives,
The smell of tea,
The itch of hives,
I’ve been cursed by the dark,
The fear of death,
The “YOUR GROUNDED! ” bark,
To you better not be hanging around with Elizabeth!
I’ve been cursed, don’t you see?
You can’t hang around with me!
I’ve been cursed can’t you tell?
I don’t think you want to go to hell!
I’ve been cursed can’t you hear,
You don’t hear me saying come hither,
I’ve been cursed with a fifteen-year-old spell,
That sent me spiraling straight to hell.
