Cussin' In Private Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Cussin' In Private

Why do I yell now?
Why do I cuss and shriek?
Why will this pain not abate
That I have had in my leg since last week?

Sometimes my legs are easy,
Sometimes the pain has gone,
But, when I least expect it,
It comes again, long and strong.

These Varicose Ulcers are torrid,
The pain grows more severe,
My legs look more and more horrid,
Will the pain abate this year?

When in company, I hide it,
The Pain that wells up in me,
But when alone, I can let out a yell,
And vent my feelings with glee.

For there is none to be offended,
By the words that leave my lips,
But when in company, careful I be,
Lest cussin' from my mouth slips.
