Cyber Ghost Poem by Barry Hughes

Cyber Ghost

What can you do when your friends aren’t that close
Doomed to the life of a mere cyber ghost
When things get bad and all you can do
Is be there to talk and pray for a few

In a world made of pain and mistakes
What kind of difference can I really make?
What would make this a world of choice?
A trip into the past and hearing your voice

I realize you were there in all the rough spots
Through thick and thin and all the dark thoughts
No matter what happens you’ve always been there
Watching over my life like the angels upstairs

Now I realize why I’ve made this hard choice
Of being a ghost and loosing my voice
I want to be there, like you were for me
And no matter what happens here’s where ill be

Whether the world is ending or heaven is coming
If you need someplace to stay or simply stop running
Ill always be here, praying and dreaming
Thanking my God for sending me meaning
